When I am coaching someone on Social Networking, we figure out what is important personally and professionally for that person. Once they are set up on the sites and with the profiles that they need, then we make a 1-2 hour weekly maintenance program for them if time management is an issue. If they can't do it themselves, then we assign them to a virtual assistant!!
No one should spend more than 2 hours a week at their networking unless they want to because they are having fun.
Hi Sally, I love social networking and am meeting lots of wonderful and interesting people online. I used to feel guilty when I was on these sites as I was having so much fun! Now, as I am building up my business, try to spend a few hours a day on social networking sites and will continue to do so for this month and then cut it down a bit after that. I feel having an online business means that social networking is a must when finding not only new clients but also joint venture partners and friends.
What's your favourite social networking sites? Mine has to be Facebook at the moment.
I enjoy most of the sites with their various personalities.
Ecademy, Facebook, the groups surrounding Linked In, and the various Ning groups are my passion! I also network a lot using skype - feel free to im me using drsallywitt.
